uh-oh

Barret goes through the entire day saying two things... uh-oh and Mommy! I've come to realize that Barret's Mommy is really a Mummy and it just makes me laugh. He says it over and over and over again and my response is always, "Barret?" His uh-ohs are really pretty real and he knows just how to use that word, if it is a word.

We noticed that Barret now asks for high fives instead of us asking for them. He will come up to you and hold up his hand and reach out for a hand to hit his. It is so funny to watch.

Today wasn't as nice out as yesterday, but we still made the most of it. We filled it with time on the deck and even took a trip to the post office and then to the park. Barret had a great time climbing around and only put three wood chips in his mouth during today's adventure. He continues to be a bit afraid of the slides but he is warming up to them. He likes to fake Mama out and climb to the top of a slide, sit there, wiggle his body a little to make it look like he is about to fly, and then stands up and walks away. On one of his wiggles though, he managed to wiggle right on down the slide, I think he secretly enjoyed it. We tried the swings again today and I noticed that as long as there was a pretty little girl swinging next to him he was fine being in the swing; all he would do was look at her. However, as soon as there wasn't anyone around him in the swings he wanted nothing to do with them.

When daddy came home from work we played out on the deck a little more and Barret even got to take his FIRST bubble bath. Which wasn't the best bubble bath because we don't actually have any bubble bath solution. Mama just squirt a bunch of body wash into the tub to create the illusion. A bottle of Mr. Bubble is on the grocery list :)

Barret was very interested in the bubbles, I scooped some up in my hand and blew them at him so then he tried to do the same thing, at least I thought he was going to. Instead Barret scooped up the bubbles and decided he was going to eat them; and was very proud of himself for it :)
