Conquering a new feet!!!!

Barret has been very busy this month. Not only did he turn 3 months old, but he has been working on rolling over, talking and laughing more than ever, and even grabbing hold of his FEET!!!!! YAY! Barret is becoming such the independant little guy. He loves and grabbing hold of things and bringing them up to his mouth no matter what it is. He has been chatting more and more with mommy and daddy and even his animal friends. Barret has begun to love tummy time again but only if he is laying on his boppy. I'm hoping that this will help support his ambition to roll over. It has felt like he is almost going to roll for weeks and weeks. I know it will come and as soon as it does, I will wish he was still my little guy who couldn't roll anywhere.

Barret also had his first rice cereal experience last night. Needless to say he and mom where both covered in it and sticky from head to toe. He struggled quite a bit and really did not seem to enjoy it all that much. He loved grabbing onto the spoon but really did not like that thing. He just couldn't figure it out. Tonight's experience was not nearly as messy, but still just as much of a struggle.

Inappropriate Poops!

I felt like as soon as I was done talking with a friend about how I am just waiting for Barret to go in the bathtub it was happening.
So far the count on Barret pooping where he really shouldn't is up to a 3!
A few weeks ago Barret was taking a shower with dad and went all of the shower wall... disgusting.
Just this weekend (two nights in a row) the minute he sat down in the tub, we were taking him out and scrubbing him down.

It is so funny just how silly things like this are when it is your precious little boy doing the dirty deed.

3 months

Barret is quite the happy 3 mmonth old. His new thing is licking everything he can get his tongue on. His favorite thing to lick so far is hi blue and yellow crinkly elephant. Yesterday he licked every inch of that thing leaving no dry spots to be found. He is a smiley, giggly, little guy and we are continously entertained by him.

Here I am 13 weeks old!!!! Yay for 3 months!

In celebration of Barret being 3 months old we Watched the Cubs game and mom found out just how many licks it really does take to get to the center of o tootsie pop! 298 licks in 10 minutes if you were wondering. We also made brats on the grill and tried to introduce a few other toys fo him to lick...of course he seems to enjoy them all. Happy 3 months old Barret!!!

Since we don't go to the doctor this month Steve and I made guesses as to how much we think he weighs and what his height is.

Weight:

Steve: 14 lbs 8 oz

Laura: 13lbs 4 oz

(we don't own a scale so we will never actually know how much he weighs this month :))

Height:

Steve: 25 1/4 inches

Laura: 24 3/4 inches

Actual Height: 26 inches

(this measurement was taken using our measuring tape and is most likely not extremely accurate, however, Barret did hold very still for us while we did this)

Easter Weekend!

Barret enjoyed his first ever picinic today after church. It was full of sunshine, wind, tug-0-war, food, and slides! We had a lot of fun just relaxing together as a family and enjoying the beautiful day.

Yesterday we got our first letter from Uncle Jason!!! It was so exciting to hear from him and know that he is enjoying BASIC as much as someone can enjoy it :) We can't wait to see him when he comes home!!!!
