It's a Beautiful Day!!!

Mama's first day of spring break, and it is beautiful outside. We spent the morning sleeping in, if you call 7:10am sleeping in (I do now), enjoying some wonderful cereal and bananas, running around the house like silly people, and escaping out onto the deck while it was still pretty cloudy and a bit chilly out. Barret found the plant pots that were full of water due to the rain we had last night and was so delighted by them. He thoroughly enjoyed playing and splashing around in the water. Needless to say we had to change our clothes.

Barret refused to take a nap this morning so we got to spend extra time together :) We ate an early lunch, swept, mopped, and vacuumed the kitchen floor (yes, Barret helped). Barret loves to play with mops and brooms and he was having a great time following me around doing whatever I was doing with whatever I wasn't using. It was so much fun!

Later we took a trip to Target to see if we could find some inexpensive outdoor toys so we wouldn't keep playing with the dirty plant pots. We didn't have much luck, but we did score a great bottle of bubbles and a super bouncy ball; and lets not forget the great sunglasses we found in the dollar spot! We spent the rest of the day enjoying the outdoors, taking a great afternoon nap, and grilling out for dinner!
